ALEXANDER THERAPY

Kim Guzowski has been using the Alexander Technique to reduce and eliminate pain in our patients for six years.  In the words of Sir Charles Sherrington, who won the Nobel Prize in Physiology in the 1920’s, “Alexander Therapy is the first holistic approach to illness and disease.” In addition to her mastery of the more refined aspects of the classical Alexander Method, Kim is a gifted and intuitive healer.  She barely touches patients and yet, in a short survey I did, she either cured or significantly ameliorated the pain in 19 of 20 patients within two months.  These were difficult patients who had tried the physicians’ best efforts and those of our physical therapists, but whose painful conditions had not responded to them.

What you learn from Kim will stay with you.  It is more a conceptual matter than a question of exercise.  Posture, carriage, and the dynamics of complex movement are the essence of the practice.
